The Department of Economics was started in the year of 1974 since inception of this college and was served by different committed teaching staff all along these many years. The department is marching ahead with nearly 300 students and spread across three different academic pursuits i.e., HEP, HE Spl.T, HE Spl.Egroups. This department is offering different streams of economics subject like Micro, Macro Economics, Indian and AP Economy, Quantitative methods to all history, political science, special telugu, special English group combinations.
The department is actively engaging the students with 2 different clubs..Amartyasen Club and Consumer Club. These clubs are supporting the student community in organizing various academic events/days. The department is also actively interacting with all other Science and Commerce group students through Life skill and Skill development Courses and competitive exams guidance exclusively.
The staff members are contributing to the smooth overall administration of the college and in various academic pursuits through RUSA, NAAC criterion.4, RED RIBBON CLUB, Blood Donors best practice activity too. The following staff are working in the department now.
